Amanda Kantor
Analyst, Brand and Media Communications

Our roots are in journalism, so we’re always on the lookout for young writing talent.  We’re excited to welcome Amanda, a recent graduate of the University of Southern California with multiple majors in Philosophy, Politics and Law, and Creative Writing.  She’s passionate about writing and while in college penned an Opinions column for her University’s digital newspaper, Neon Tommy. While living abroad, Amanda spent several months of her senior year leading writing workshops for international students.  She enjoys contributing to the breaking news site RYOT, challenging people to dance competitions (watch out, she’s on a competitive salsa team), and drinking lots of green tea.

Kathleen Marker
Associate Director, Qualitative Research

Kathleen’s made the move down from the Bay Area to join Kelton as a lead researcher with our Qualitative team.  She joins us after several years as a Director for the Center for Ethnographic Research at UC Berkeley, where she rubbed elbows with a community of professors, students, and fellow researchers. She has been a student of sociology in many forms – most recently receiving her PhD in Economic Sociology from UCSD, where she focused on the entrepreneurial process.  She’s also taught courses in research methodology and tools.  We’re excited for her contributions across all of our qualitative methods, including ethnographic interviewing and our SmartCommunities platform. Kathleen is working on a slow-cooker meals cookbook in her spare time, and we’re looking forward to recreating some of her recipes in the near future!

Taylor Brekke
Engagement Lead, Qualitative Research

Taylor joins Kelton from the advertising agency Neighbor where she led strategic planning for multiple clients, including brands in the CPG and lifestyle categories. Taylor earned an MBA from the University of Southern California and earned a BS in political science from UC Berkeley.  Raised with exchange students from around the world, Taylor has a penchant for travel and being immersed in new cultures, and is always on the lookout for hidden getaways and a new adventure. Joining the foodie ranks at Kelton, Taylor’s social life largely revolves around cooking, learning about (and drinking!) wine and checking new restaurants off her list.
