As Director, Brand Strategy, Jay uses his interest in culture, psychology, and rhetoric to answer complex brand and consumer questions. Supporting Kelton’s qualitative, cultural insights, and strategy practices, he thrives when methodologies mix, get messy, and result in surprising conclusions.
Before joining Kelton, Jay cut his teeth at a boutique brand strategy agency working on positioning, architecture, and innovation projects. He then dug deep into the world of insights at YPulse, learning the ins and outs of qualitative and quantitative research. While there, he took a keen interest in cultural trends and collaging data of all types to tell compelling narratives about human nature.
Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Jay graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, with a degree in English. While he loves his adopted home of New York, he’ll never stop saying “y’all” and only feeling comfortable in dangerously hot and humid weather.
