As Manager, Quantitative Research, Zach engages in all project phases from design to presentation. He enjoys finding the hidden narratives that are enshrouded in consumer data and learning new forms of data analysis.
Zach studied Psychology at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Interested in the Psychology of early cognitive development, he examined cognitive biases, like the desirability bias, in preschool-age children and compared them to those of adults. After graduating with a Master’s in Experimental Psychology, Zach went on to teach various Psychology courses at Appalachian State and helped create the University’s Office of Research Consultation where he served as a head research consultant for three years, aiding professors with a variety of research methodology and data analysis quandaries.
As a recent transplant from the East Coast, Zach’s number one goal outside of work is to find a quality pub trivia team to help satisfy his nerdy, yet competitive ambitions. Along with trivia, he enjoys podcasts rooted in Psychology or Economics, is an avid disc golfer and ultimate frisbee enthusiast, and can be found at a local sports bar cheering for the Charlotte Hornets or Carolina Panthers on game nights.
